Out of an abundance of caution for the health of our patients, staff and community, Eye Care Services the office of Dr. Marc Austhof is following the Guidelines of the American Optometric Association and the CDC. We are postponing all routine eye care and suspending all clinical operations with the exception of urgent or emergencies.

These are not decisions that are made lightly, but are intended to protect the health of the general public. The discontinuation of eye care eliminates potential contact of persons who may transmit the COVID-19 virus and widen the spread of it in the community. It also conserves valuable medical supplies - particularly personal protective equipment like gowns, gloves, and masks - that may be needed in the event of a worsening public health crisis that strains supply chains. These actions also protect and conserve medical personnel who likewise may be called upon for additional duty in a scenario of widening strain on health care system.
